Trailblazing Innovator in VR: Gamification, & Sustainability with a Proven Track Record of Excellence in STEM Competitions.
“I am a passionate technologist and multimedia enthusiast who joined MMU in 2020 to explore innovative technology and creative solutions. My STEM journey began with a Foundation in IT, followed by a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Virtual Reality, where I graduated with First Class Honours and a CGPA of 3.94. Through leadership roles, impactful events, and award-winning projects, I honed my skills in VR, gamification, and sustainability. Soon, I will pursue my master’s degree while also embarking on my journey as a tech entrepreneur with my SSM-approved business, TechVerse Production.“
Why you choose Virtual Reality?
“I studied Virtual Reality (VR) for 3 years to combine multimedia and technology, driven by a vision to create innovative solutions through immersive experiences. This field aligns with STEM by integrating technology, design, and problem-solving.
With skills in software like Blender, Maya, and Unity, and programming in C# and Verse Script, I’ve excelled in competitions judged by industry experts. Grateful for the guidance of mentors and lecturers, I continue to grow & leverage VR to make a meaningful impact.”
Any dream occupation, job, or company?
“I aspire to be an academician, tech entrepreneur, and industry leader in XR solutions, and a certified Graduate Technologist, I’m working towards becoming a Professional Technologist with MBOT. Committed to lifelong learning, I stay updated with the latest advancements to excel as an Immersive Tech Developer.“

Do you think Virtual Reality can help the community?
“Yes, through VR, I’ve explored creating safe and cost-effective training environments for students, addressing challenges in traditional lab setups. My Final Year Project focused on preserving cultural heritage by using motion capture to bring traditional dance into VR, offering an immersive way for people to learn and connect with their culture in ways that go beyond traditional methods.”
What skills do you think are required for Virtual Reality?
“To excel in this field, it is essential to have skills in 3D modeling, C# programming, texturing, animation, sound design, level design, creative thinking, and video editing. Additionally, being familiar with different software tools is crucial for adapting and innovating effectively.”

Any advice for juniors who wish to pursue in Virtual Reality?
“Always start with the basics and be patient in your journey to becoming who you want to be.”
For example, I started learning Blender through YouTube by creating a simple donut. I learned Maya by making a low-poly clock and a high-poly screwdriver. My first C# script was just to control basic game mechanics like hiding and unhiding objects or changing scenes.
When you combine these small steps, you’ll eventually be able to create amazing software and applications that entertain people or provide valuable research insights to both academia and industry. As my lecturer, Mr. Dendi, wisely said: “Always be humble; there’s a sky above another sky.”
